Soundings and silences: A JFK tribute in Dallas

YellowBarn presents Davidosky's social distancing-friendly Synchronisms in a composer portrait concert. 

On the 50th anniversary of the first lunar landing, the musicians of Yellow Barn played a wide-ranging program of works inspired by the night sky. 

Elliott Carter was a real maverick composer. Born into the era of Igor Stravinsky, Charles Ives and Arnold Schoenberg, Carter went onto to create an exciting world of new music in the 20th and 21st century. Never slowing down, Carter composed over 40 new works between the ages of 90 and 100. The result: Carter’s music is current and exciting today... and he has an incredible repertoire of music.

Sunday morning Mahler at the Wiener Konzerthaus sees Andris Nelsons concluding his symphony cycle with the Vienna Philharmonic in shattering fashion. 

Julien Chauvin leads the Belgrade Philharmonic in spirited performances of varied music by CPE Bach and Haydn, with local star flautist Ana Kaličanin Radivojević as soloist.

Franz Welser-Möst leads a program reflective of the artistic threads that have defined his Cleveland tenure: Prokofiev, contemporary Austrian music and Wagner.
