Do you love music? Try the real thing...

Aged between 12 and 16? Are you someone who makes up your own mind whether or not you like something?

We have a challenge for you. Apply to be a "Bachtrack Young Reviewer", get free tickets to a top class classical concert and we'll publish the review that you write.

How does it work?

Get in touch with one of the concert halls, orchestras or other organizations in the list of program partners below. They'll choose a suitable concert with you, and arrange for you to get a free pair of tickets - one for you, one for a parent or other adult to come with you. They'll tell you all the details about where to pick up tickets, where to send the review, etc.

Do I really have to do the writing?

Yes. The whole idea is for you to tell the rest of the world about what you saw and how you felt. And we do ask that you get the review done within a couple of days while the music is still fresh in your mind. But it doesn't have to be long (300 words or so is fine) and it doesn't have to sound like it was written by a pro.

Don't let us tell you what you should and shouldn't like. Just check it out and tell the world what you thought. Maybe you'll love it and maybe you'll hate it. But here's a clue to what might happen: check out the list of reviews from previous young reviewers.

I dunno, I'm kind of a rock'n'roll guy...

Then try classical as well! You'll be amazed at quite how much music in movies, on TV and even in rock'n'roll and jazz is based on classical. Going to a big concert hall is quite an experience, and trust us, it beats the hell out of trying to play the music yourself!
