Overture to Ruslan and Ludmilla by Glinka
Join Alasdair Malloy and the Philomusica’s bewitching musicians as they lead us on an enchanting tour of a magical and mysterious world of ghosts and ghouls, witches and wizards, and all things that go bump in the afternoon. Don’t forget to dress in your most frightful fashions!

The London Bridge Ensemble give a masterclass to talented young local musicians, including the Hampshire String Quartet and an ensemble from Southampton University. Audiences can drop in and out as they like at any point during the session.
The orchestra of St John provides the exciting music live to Howard Blake's much loved film, The Snowman, and there will be a young boy to sing 'Walking in the Air'.
The rest of the short programme will be Christmas music including some audience carols.

Opera Prelude is a non-profit organisation offering performance based opera appreciation classes, given by young professional singers in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Lectures take place in London and Oxfordshire.
Adriana Festeu, Opera Prelude Course Director, will take us through this morning's talk. We will be discovering two masterpieces of the French Opera: Werther by Jules Massenet and Pelleas et Melisande by Claude Debussy involving captivating plots and complex characters along with thrilling music.
This lecture will take place near Henley on Thames.

Roll up, roll up and join Alasdair Malloy and his cavalcade of Philomusica clowns for an afternoon of circus-inspired shenanigans. Come dressed in your best circus gear – we hope to see lots of red noses!
