Give your voice a workout, learn new songs, meet other enthusiasts, and feel part of a team as the choir begins to take shape… Pick up some valuable performance tips from professional singer and choral director Kate Mapp as you go along. Budding soloists will get a chance to shine, and everyone will be able to show off their choral skills at the end. All you need is your voice!

A day of creative & hands-on music-making inspired by the magical world of Britten’s enchanting opera A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Led by professional workshop leaders and supported by RCM musicians, the group will produce their own scenes based on the adventures of Titania and Oberon, fairy King and Queen, which they will present to parents at the end of the day. If you’ve never heard an opera before, this is the perfect place to start. All musical abilities welcome.

Through creative & hands-on music-making find out how Tchaikovsky’s ballet music tells the story of a girl who helps a wooden nutcracker man defeat a nasty army of mice and how a young maiden is turned into a swan by an evil spell. All musical abilities welcome.

A fun & creative music workshop offering children the chance to discover the magical world of the Arabian Nights fairy tales through the music of Rimsky Korsakov’s colourful work Scheherazade. Led by professional workshop leaders and supported by RCM musicians the session will include a presentation to parents at the end of the day. All musical abilities welcome.

Workshop leader Natasha Zielazinski and young performers from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama present these popular music workshops for toddlers and their carers. Sessions include a short performance in the Auditorium and an interactive workshop in the Bechstein Room including singing, playing percussion and a chance to meet the musicians and see their instruments close up.
