| 14-Jul-2012 Sage: Hall Two | Northern Sinfonia in miniature: Brahms and Schumann chamber works | Jane Shuttleworth |
Early Romantic symphonies lie at the core of Northern Sinfonia’s orchestral repertoire, and so to hear different groups of their players getting together with pianist John Reid to perform chamber music by Schumann and Brahms seemed like the most natural thing in the world, an intimate, scaled-down version of one of their regular concerts.

| 9-May-2012 Wigmore Hall | Sublime Schumann from the Jerusalem Quartet and Alexander Melnikov | David Allen, unpredictableinevitability.com |

| 8-Mar-2011 Chipping Sodbury Town Hall | Ardeton Ensemble with Stephen Meakins | Publicity at CSMS |
| The concert featured a chamber group based in the West Country, the Ardeton Ensemble. Sarah Eales and Rebecca Harte, violins, Rachel Johnson, viola and Dury Loveridge, cello, with guest pianist Stephen Meakins, gave a balanced and enthusiastically received programme of works by three major composers.
Beethoven’s first completed string quartet opened the evening. Already moving away from the classical constraints of Haydn and Mozart, the opening movement was played with a sure touch, the Adagio with evident emotion, the Scherzo all light and shade, and the Finale full of high spirits.
