It's been a very busy start to the year for Bachtrack, with a brand new website, a new office, and scores of new festivals, events and reviews going up online.
Following demand that Bachtrack expand its coverage beyond music, we have just launched a sister site, One Stop Arts, which is devoted to covering events across the arts in London. Bachtrack's London music reviews and listings will feature on the site, along with reviews and listings for museums and art exhibitions, theatre, and kids' events. The site has already generated a huge amount of interest and positive feedback and we're delighted with things so far. Please do take a look at the site, and tell all your London-based friends!

Expanding North American coverage
We're not just growing in London: Bachtrack are reviewing more and more events across North America, with new reviewers based in Toronto, New York, and elsewhere. Watch this space for more to come, and do have a look at our listings.

We're delighted to have complete listings for some significant international festivals: do take a look if you'll be in any of these parts of the world in the coming months.
- Rheingau Music Festival, with 161 events featuring the likes of Peter Eötvös, Christian Gerhaher, Paul Lewis, Håkan Hardenberger, and the London Symphony Orchestra.
- Salzburg Festival, with new Artistic Director Alexander Pereira. The extremely exciting programme this year is set to include a celebration of sacred music, as well as a production of Das Labyrinth, the little-known sequel to Die Zauberflöte, put on to commemorate the 200th anniversary of librettist Emanuel Schikaneder's death. - Hong Kong Arts Festival, which has already started and features a fantastic range of music.
- Brandenburg Spring Choral Festival in London, also currently underway, which contains choral music of all types from Monteverdi to jazz, and uses various intriguing venues around the capital.
Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris

Bachtrack now have well over fifty reviewers writing from around the world, and we're covering an enormous range of events. We've heard about some amazing concerts, operas and ballets, from a futuristic Turandot in Munich to a pensive Kronos Quartet recital in London. Our concert and opera stats for 2011 are a fascinating source of information about musical habits around the world. One of the most interesting things to emerge from 2011 was the huge rise in opera performances, especially in London. There are so many smaller-scale opera companies starting up that it's difficult to keep up with them all! With so much of it about, there has seldom been a better time to fall in love with opera.
