The renowned vocalist performs Derek Bermel’s Mar de Setembro, a song cycle set to texts by the late Portuguese poet Eugénio de Andrade and written expressly for Souza. The ensemble also performs works by Gunther Schuller, Gabriela Lena Frank, Silvestre Revueltas, and Marcos Balter.
