Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ: Main Hall, Amsterdam, Piet Heinkade 1, Amsterdam 1019 BR, Netherlands Sunday 23-Mar-14 08:15pm Osiris Trio - Kunst van het trio Van het Geistertrio van Beethoven, via de verstilde wereld van de Japanse Toru Takemitsu naar het pianotrio van vandaag. Het lijkt een wereldreis. Maar het verstilde tweede deel van Beethovens beroemde pianotrio en een haiku van David Mitchell vormen samen de basis voor het nieuwe werk van Klaas de Vries. Een fascinerend drieluik over de kunst van het trio. Klaas de Vries schreef eerder op verzoek van het Osiris Trio een septet. Nu keert hij terug naar de basis van het trio en voegt een zang- en spreekstem toe. De teksten zijn van de Engelse auteur David Mitchell (bekend van de succesvol verfilmde roman Cloud Atlas). Met hem werkte De Vries ook samen voor de opera Wake, over de Enschede vuurwerkramp.
