| Bundeskunsthalle, Bonn, Friedrich-Ebert-Allee 140, 53113 Bonn, Germany Wednesday 11-Sep-13 08:00pm Nobel Prize for Music In 1973 the first Ernst von Siemens Music Prize was awarded – to Benjamin Britten. He has been followed since then by numerous other composers, conductors and instrumentalists, all honoured by the bestowal of what is often referred to as the “Nobel Prize for Music”. The recipient in 1998 was György Kurtág, in 2003 it was Wolfgang Rihm and last year Friedrich Cerha. All three are represented at this concert with works associated and combined with pictures – presented in Bonn in an appropriate setting by recognized specialists. The event is part of the official series of concerts, being held in nine European cities, to mark the 40th anniversary of the Foundation.
