Take the Night Train, and More: A Salute to Oscar Peterson Two Peterson Trio alumni, bassist Dave Young and drummer Terry Clarke, join Oscar's personal choice as his piano protegé, Robi Botos, for an all-Canadian salute marking the 50th anniversary of Night Train, one of Oscar's most memorable recordings. Dave, Terry and Robi leave the station (aka The Church Restaurant) with plenty of Peterson Trio favourites to play, heading on a journey that includes a score of jazz classics by jazz engineers like Duke Ellington, Milt Jackson and Hoagy Carmichael, and a final destination of Oscar's own Hymn to Freedom. Anyone who calls the Stratford Summer Music office before August 10, promising to arrive with a copy of the original 1960's Verve long-play album in hand, gets a free ticket for the trip. All Aboard!
