They settled down in the capital of Isfahan, were royally received at court, brought art and luxury goods and silk fabrics and carpets in turn took it home. This mutual interest left both in Persian as in European art of the 17th and early 18th Century their tracks. This once good relations are today largely forgotten. The nuclear, political despotism and oppression dominate our image of Iran. Nevertheless exists in Tehran today a rich art scene, which is a lively exchange with the global art world. This is demonstrated in the exhibition the work of seven contemporary artists. Their works provide new perspectives on the historical works and at the same time a direct view of the present. Exhibition: 27 September 2013 - 12 January 2014. further information about the concert and tickets go on sale in August 2013. | ||
