He was born in Zagan, Poland, where at the age of 6 he started having regular violin classes. When he was only 12, he made his Moscow debut with The Moscow Conservatoire Orchestra in the Tchaikovsky Great Hall. He also became a winner of all national violin competitions for young violinists in Poland. Tadashi Imai began his piano study at the age of 11 under tutorages of Kazuyo Ueda and Mieko Nakagawa in Japan. At the age of 14, he had already won the Grand Prize, Yamaha Prize and Koichi Nomura (Music Critic) Award at the Kamakura City National Music Competition in Japan. Concert will include works by Faure, Franck, Messiaen, C.P.E.Bach, Poulenc and Prokofiev. Matthew Featherstone started playing the flute at the age of six in France, where he was brought up. From 1999 he pursued his flute studies at the Orléans Conservatoire with Arlette Biget, where he achieved his "premier prix" for flute in 2004, and his "premier prix" for chamber music the following year. Philip Shannon took his first degree from Oxford, where he was a mathematics scholar at the age of 16. Encouraged by Roger Vignoles to follow his first love, piano accompaniment, he entered the Guildhall School of Music in 1985 for advanced studies under Paul Hamburger and Gordon Back.
