When the European Union Youth Orchestra plays a guest performance once again this Saturday, you will find out pretty quickly that this cliché has long become obsolete. The best new talents from all 27 EU countries that make up this orchestra are popular among audiences on account of their passion and youthful joy of performing. Last year, the audience greeted the EUYO’s programme «Symphonic Hollywood» with gushing enthusiasm. The Music Director of the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra Krzysztof Urbanski, who is at home on international stages, will conduct this year’s concert. And before the young musicians take the stage of the Wolkenturm in the evening together with pianist Boris Berezovsky, they will demonstrate in the Prelude that they also set standards as chamber musicians.
