Cellist Steven Isserlis, who performs Janácek’s Pohádka (Fairy Tale), was the recipient of Adès’s own Lieux retrouvés, premièred at the 2009 Aldeburgh Festival. Having since received its US première at Carnegie Hall, the pair now introduce it to London audiences at Wigmore Hall. All three come together with Katharine Gower and Rachel Roberts for Fauré’s Second Piano Quintet.
