For many of the concerts on Bachtrack, you can now click on a link to go directly to a booking web site. When you have searched for a concert or opera, press on the red "Info/Book" button to see the choice of links to click on to book tickets.

Some of these bookings are directly with the site of the venue or orchestra putting on the event. Others are with our affiliated booking services:

  • Ticketswitch provide a great variety of classical and opera events from a number of different providers, notably their parent company Seatem Group (which sells tickets to the Paris, Sydney and Metropolitan Operas amongst others) and Bohemia Ticket, which has excellent coverage of events in Czech.
  • Getmein! are a secondary ticket agency: in other words, they have many tickets from resellers. This means that they are often able to provide tickets for events which are hard to get into, such as opera at La Scala.
  • Classictic are a ticket reseller based in Germany with good coverage of a wide variety of classical concerts and opera, mainly in Europe. We have used them in the past to buy tickets for an event where the main venue's box office are sold out. They can't always confirm ticket availability on-line, but if they can't, you get a confirmation e-mail within a few days after they've confirmed tickets with the venue.

In some cases, there may be a choice of more than one ticket vendor for a particular event.

Bachtrack therefore gets you the best of both worlds: you can use our powerful search facility to find what you want quickly and easily, and then click directly on a booking link to buy your tickets.

At time of writing, this "book now" facility is available for around 1,000 of the events in the database. We will be doing our best to increase the coverage over the coming months.
