
Bampton Classical Opera explores the fascinating rarities of late eighteenth-century opera and has given several UK premières including Salieri's Falstaff, Benda's Romeo and Juliet and Paer's Leonora, along with works by Cimarosa, Gluck, Haydn, Mozart, Paisiello and Storace. Regular summer performances take place at rural venues in Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire and at St John's Smith Square, London, and major festival appearances have included Bath, Buxton and Cheltenham, as well as the Wigmore Hall.
